Hey Thriving Room pals,
On Thursday I am having an initial chat with a future guest — we are excited for our plan to make a series of episodes together. The first of the series should be up in about a month. Now you can hold me accountable! Separately, in case anybody besides myself was wondering, a new episode will come your way in the interim.
Now here is my question for you all. Tell me about one situation, thought, or item that is making you unhappy.
I would like to pepper in real situations for this guest to shed light on. He is passionate about preventive mental wellness. In case I refer specifically to anything you share while I am live, please let me know anything I should keep nondescript—e.g., “Do not name this person I wrote about”—and how I can refer to you, perhaps with a fun nickname if you prefer or simply as a human. Big, small, or anything in between, I would love to hear from you. No need to think about whether a source is really a source of unhappiness or only a superficial manifestation. What helps me most is that you share what is top of mind and therefore feels relevant to you. Examples from my life right now are that a fellowship rejected me yesterday, and I am going through a book titled The Artist’s Way that asks us to write Morning Pages every day, which, as the delightful people in my weekly group check-in will soon learn, I have not done in two days.
Thank you all for feedback you have been sharing about the first episode. I shared comments with the guest, Tay. She has been enjoying them.
You can always hit reply to reach me.
